This article presents a methodology for the evaluation of monitoring tools for the cloud based on an evaluation matrix. This evaluation matrix is ​​made up of two dimensions, the first of perspectives and the other of criteria, these dimensions can be parameterized by defining the importance weights of each one and by defining as many criteria as are necessary to obtain a better evaluation. of the tools. This matrix was used in a company as a practical case and served to determine which monitoring tool was best suited to the needs of that company in the provision of services in the cloud; This case study is presented in the final part of this article. It is intended that with this proposal companies in the area of ​​Information Technology - T.I can make the selection of monitoring tools for cloud environments and can provide greater reliability to their customers and in the provision of services.
